What it does

Wobot sells a software platform that applies computer vision to feeds from a customer's existing cameras and turns detections into alerts, tickets and dashboards [1]. Its main market is operations rather than safety: the website leads with speed of service, drive-thru performance, customer engagement and loss prevention, including matching point of sale (POS) data to video [1]. Safety appears as one use case. Wobot says the platform can check for mandatory hairnets, hard hats and gloves and for movement into restricted areas, and it markets a manufacturing offer aimed at employee health and safety and lower incident rates [1]. Customers schedule "checklists" of AI tasks per camera and draw detection areas; Wobot says more than 50 checklists are available [4]. A November 2025 product update renamed tasks as "Agents" and the WoCam video module as "Lens" [11].

Who it is for

Wobot's industry pages target quick-service restaurants, drive-thrus, food processing, hospitality, retail and manufacturing [1]. The Indian operating company, Wobot Intelligence Private Limited, was incorporated in Delhi on 29 December 2017 [13]. The website footer gives Wobot Intelligence Inc. at a Wilmington, Delaware address, and the data processing addendum names both entities [1][8]. Inc42 reported in 2020 that Adit Chhabra, Tapan Dixit and Tanay Dixit founded the company [12]. EHS buyers should treat Wobot as a general operations analytics vendor with some safety detections, rather than a safety specialist.

How it is deployed

Wobot says its platform connects to existing cameras and network video recorders across multiple locations without new hardware [2][3]. It describes WoCam as a cloud-based video management system with live view, playback and camera-offline alerts, and says sites without a public IP address can connect through a Windows or Linux desktop app [3]. A published help article, last updated in March 2022, describes a free tier of up to 10 cameras and custom plans starting at $40 per location per month [10]; buyers should confirm current pricing. The Terms of Use define an "Anonymisation Module" that customers may purchase alongside the main software, which suggests anonymization is an add-on [9]. The site shows a SOC 2 logo but does not state the report type or date [2].

Notable public customers and coverage

In August 2020 Wobot raised $2.5 million in a pre-Series A round led by Sequoia India, and Inc42 reported clients including Cultfit, EatFit, Blue Tokai and Rebel Foods [12]. Wobot's case study on Indian Railways kitchens describes detection of missing headgear, gloves and face masks, plus mopping and sanitization checks [6]. Wobot says that customer cut compliance oversight costs by $60 per employee per year, raised productivity by 5% to 10% and saw complaints fall by 50% based on social media sentiment; these figures are vendor-reported and have not been independently verified [6]. A second case study covers an unnamed UAE restaurant chain [7]. In June 2024 Security Systems News reported that Interface Systems would offer Wobot's analytics to restaurant and retail customers [14]. Wobot lists integrations with OpenEye and Brink POS [5].

Things to ask in an evaluation

  • Which safety detections (PPE, restricted zones, others) are production-ready for industrial sites, and what accuracy data supports them?
  • Where is video processed and stored, and for how long?
  • Is face anonymization included or a paid add-on, and is it applied before footage leaves the site?
  • Can you see the SOC 2 report, and which entity and period does it cover?
  • How were the Indian Railways figures measured, and can you speak to a reference customer in your sector?

Our take

Strengths

  • Runs on existing cameras and NVRs, with a cloud video management module and a connector for sites without a public IP [3].
  • Publishes a DPA, Terms of Use and a pricing article, so buyers can review contract and pricing terms before a sales call [8][9][10].
  • Active product development, with public release notes as recent as November 2025 [11].

Watch-outs

  • Safety is a secondary use case; the product and case studies center on restaurants, retail and hygiene compliance [1][6].
  • No published accuracy methodology, independent evaluation or review platform presence was found, and outcome figures are vendor-reported [6].
  • The SOC 2 claim is a logo only, and anonymization appears to be a separately purchased module [2][9].

Best fit: Multi-site food service or retail operators that want hygiene, PPE and procedure checks on existing CCTV alongside operational metrics, rather than a dedicated industrial safety system [1][4].
