What it does

Ideagen's main safety product is Ideagen EHS, the former ProcessMAP platform, which joined Ideagen in October 2022 and was later renamed [1]. Ideagen says it runs on quarterly releases [1]. Its customer community now lists three EHS code bases: Ideagen EHS Priya (formerly ProcessMAP), Ideagen EHS Core (formerly Lucidity) and Ideagen EHSQ Enterprise (formerly DevonWay) [2]. The mobile app covers incidents, near misses, audits, inspections and corrective actions, with offline use [3]. Ideagen says its Mazlan AI uses safety standards and a customer's incident history to show where risks are forming [4]. In 2025 Ideagen bought WorkSafe Guardian for lone worker safety, Reactec for wearable hazard monitoring and Envirosuite for environmental monitoring [6], plus SafetyStratus, to be sold as Ideagen Chemical Management [7]. In July 2026 it acquired Work Wallet, a mobile-first EHS developer [8].

Who it is for

Hg describes Ideagen as compliance software for regulated industries with more than 10,000 customers [9]. Its EHS products target multi-site organizations; Ideagen names Johnson Controls, with more than 3,200 sites in 74 countries, as a user [4]. Verdantix describes a tiered approach steering customers toward DevonWay, Ideagen EHS or Lucidity [12].

How it is deployed

Ideagen EHS is cloud software with web and native mobile access [3]. When checked, the iPhone app averaged 2.4 out of 5 from 88 ratings [3]. Ideagen documents an outbound REST API (JSON, token authentication) for incident, audit and learning data; the page is marked as a draft [20]. Ideagen says Mazlan works within role permissions, with audit trails and data residency controls [5]. Ideagen claims ISO 27001:2022 and other ISO certifications [17] and publishes a data processing agreement [18].

Notable public customers and coverage

Ideagen was founded in 1993 and is based in Nottingham [9]. Its legal entity, Ideagen Limited, was named Ideagen PLC until July 2022 [10]. Hg acquired the then publicly traded company in 2022 after a £1.05 billion all-cash offer [11], and Hg still lists Ideagen as a current investment [9]. Verdantix assessed Ideagen among 23 vendors in its Green Quadrant: EHS Software (2026) [13], and Ideagen says it was named a Leader [14]. Ideagen reports that ScottsMiracle-Gro cut its recordable incident rate by 40% over five years [15] and that Dawn Foods saw a 339% rise in near miss reporting [16]; both are vendor claims. Capterra shows 68 reviews averaging 4.4 out of 5 [19].

Things to ask in an evaluation

  • Which Ideagen EHS product (Priya, Core or Enterprise) would you buy, and what is its roadmap?
  • Can the API import events from video analytics or sensors, or only export data?
  • How does Mazlan produce risk insights, and what accuracy testing exists?
  • What do licenses and implementation cost at your size?
  • How does the mobile app perform offline at your sites?

Our take

Strengths: A broad EHS portfolio, now including lone worker, wearable and chemical management products [6][7]. A published data processing agreement, an ISO 27001 claim, a documented API and named case studies with figures [15][17][18][20]. Independent coverage in the Verdantix 2026 EHS Green Quadrant [13].

Watch-outs: Several EHS code bases and frequent acquisitions, so confirm which product and roadmap you are buying [2][12]. No public pricing and no published accuracy method for Mazlan's AI claims [5]. The iPhone app scores 2.4 out of 5 from 88 ratings, so test field use in a pilot [3].

Best fit: Mid-sized and large multi-site organizations that want one vendor for EHS, quality and compliance and can run a structured evaluation of which Ideagen EHS product fits.
